Tornados Cheer program

Cheer Program Overview

Our cheer program is designed to teach Sideline cheer, dance, stunting, and tumbling, while fostering teamwork, discipline, and communication in our athletes. Our goal is to prepare athletes for a successful transition to cheer in middle and high school. We welcome cheerleaders of all skill levels to join us and grow together.

Coaching Philosophy

Our coaching staff includes on head coach and assistant coaches based on need for each level. Each coaches goals align with the following:

  • Teach the fundamentals: Teaching the motions, cheers, various dances and stunts based on level of the team.

  • Emphasize values: We pride ourselves in instilling values our athletes can carry with them well into adulthood. We expect our athletes to work as a team and treat each other with kindness and respect both on and off the mat.

  • Build Confidence: We aim to help our athletes develop self-assurance, resilience and a love for the sport.

  • Time Commitment: Please be aware that cheerleading requires a commitment to the team. Dances, stunts, and routines depend on each member being present at both practices and games. For safety reasons, consistent attendance is crucial to safely execute stunts, which is why attendance at practice is mandatory. We expect our athletes to prioritize cheerleading and ensure that other commitments do not interfere with practice or game schedules.

  • Games take place weekly on either Saturdays or Sundays. Cheer is expected on the sidelines for all Home games, including away games for Youth, Junior and Senior level program. Schedule is available here

Practices will take place weekly 2 or 3 days depending on level and coaching preference.
